The Somaliland Ambassador at large-Dr Mohamed-Aar A Mohamed based in the UK came to Toronto Canada to attend the Project Hope Benefit Dinner Concert Event of April 18th 2008 (the 2nd Annual Fundraising for Sunnyview Hargeisa –Project Hope Special Needs Children International ) as a representative from the Somaliland government where he gave a great speech. Dr. Mohamed-Aar was in in Toronto for 4 Days and met with Canadian Officials to deliver a letter from the Somaliland Government and also to share with information in relation to Canada’s contribution to Somaliland’s development and how Canada could assist Somaliland within the Commonwealth and the UN. During his short visit Doctor Aar was warmly received by Canadian Somalilanders. On Sunday April 20th, Somaliland Canadian Society leaders in Toronto organized a meeting where the Ambassador briefed wider members of the community on the current state of affairs in the Republic of Somaliland.
