In an exchange from Frontline Club an interesting panel of people are seen discussing the issues of Somaliland’ Independence and democratization process. The many challenges it has overcome and what may lay ahead.If getting it right is not enough to achieve recognition then what does the world want? Does it wish to continue the same lame policy of ignoring the compelling case of Somaliland or will it take responsibility and engage this nascent beacon of hope? Will the people of Somaliland stay the course in their resolve to consolidate their many achievements in a hostile environment, nurturing good governance and the rule of law? Definite answers are not provided to any of this questions but the participants sure shed some light on many aspects of the current political,social,cultural as well as economic dynamics shaping the Somaliland Nation.
